TREASURENET Hosted the long-running forum on long range locators since the 90s. After skeptics invaded it and made conditions unbearable for the participants with name-calling and snipes, the forum was closed due to bickering. It was resurrected with compartmentalised sections which no-one could skip to i.e. Proponents and Skeptics sections but this too was vandalised by the skeptics, mainly Sam Scafferi alias J Black (far as is known). After some months a Dowsing sub-forum has received an amazing 800 posts in three weeks. It however has the vicious circle or dog-chasing-the-tail problem. The skeptics viz Carl and Sam alias J Black will not concede that dowsing is anything more than fantasy and that one at least poster is there for commercial reasons, despite his deliberately not mentioning LRLs . Carl continues with his mad $25000 challenge and is met with stubborn resistance.It's considered difficult to maintain this forum since the webmaster is a skeptic. There are lots of plans and sections for the standard metal detectorist.The LRL Reports section though is not good. It is more defamatory and opinionated than factual. Carl Moreland has dissected several Long Range Locating units , without the manufacturers' permission and dogmatically claimed they don't work, basically. If they didn't work they wouldn't be sold. It is simply that Carl's intepretation that it is dowsing is based on his ignorance and inability to use the LRLs. There are ways to prove it isn't a mental fantasy the user wishes to believe but Carl will not record the facts without his obvious one-eyed looseness with the truth.The LRL Reports are unfair to the consumer who has one of these units, as well as the manufacturer. _________________________________________________________ DOWSERSWEARE

Lots of informative info and personal tips for users.There are product reports and an absence of cantankerous skeptics. Dell Winders, the site webmaster is probably the most experienced Long Range Locatorist in the industry. _________________________________________________________ LRLMAN'S No problem with this forum. Tim is an enthusiastic LRLer who shares his information. One gets new angles on the activity. _________________________________________________________ RANGER-TELL Proof and evidence that LRLs work with scientific treatment and actual instances.Plenty of information and a good place for reading if you are interested in adding the LRL to your detectorist experience. ________________________________________________________ MONGOBAY Loose like a free-for-all and a good field for LRLers to go toe-to-toe with skeptics. But as with all staushes it comes to an end. Despite it's popularity the skeptics spoiled this forum for all by shenanigans and aliases & unsubstantiated opinions.Good job though by the webmaster in holding it together. Closed two years ago. VOY Sam Scafferi and/or Carl Moreland in alias mode again (held by most) running a one-man campaign to create the false impression that LRL manufacturers a sa whole were in it for the money and damn the consumer. Due to lack of interest , closed more than a year ago. RUN & SCUTTLED? BY SKEPTICS _________________________________________________________ GOOGLEGROUPS -ALT.TREASUREHUNTING.LRL Sam Scafferi and/or Carl Moreland again , this time no holds barred adopting so many aliases and false personas of non-existent users that it was a joy to behold, NOT. His lies re manufacturers and odd insistences , sometimes brutal and unwelcome led to it's own destruction. After a battle between Sam and an LRLer this forum went down under a barrage of finely aimed criticism from pro-LRL agencies unknown. A resurgence led by the skeptic(s) again has led to a sad comedy of them answering their own posts (heinous defamation) and amounting to more than likely one in number skeptic (either Sam or Carl). ROUTED BY LRL SOURCES (early 2005) but back lie a stung rattlesnake. ________________________________________________________________ GOOGLEGROUPS - TREASURE.HUNTING.LRL.4 DUMMIES An island of info and sensible information without bickering re LRLs. Often humorous it is also a serious look at what goes on with these instruments. The lies espoused by the skeptics are dissected and quickly analyzed.
